This is a comprehensive, 6-hour workshop designed to help students complete most, if not all, of the Common App. Progress will be determined partially by the number of schools to which students ultimately apply as well as their work outside of the workshop to complete some of the writing portion. Most students are ready to submit applications by the end or the session or shortly thereafter.
During the Boot Camp, students will: set up accounts for the Common App, Universal App, and/or Coalition App and complete the main portion of the application(s); link the Common App to Naviance (if appropriate) and complete the FERPA wiaver; prepare information sheets for the teachers they will ask for recommendations; brainstorm essay topics and write at least one draft of the main essay; have a list of all required supplemental essays; write the “Why this school?” answer for each college on the list; and more!
These Boot Camps will be held over 2-3 days (2-3 hours each day) at various times and locations throughout August and September. Please contact Marissa for specifics and to register.
Boot Camp is free for students in the Full-Service plan; otherwise, the cost is $400. Siblings registered in the same session will receive a 10% discount.
